Nota biográfica

Domingos Macucule is an architect, with a master's degree in Land Management from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a PhD in Geography and Territorial Planning, also from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with a thesis entitled Urban Restructuring and Governance in Greater Maputo. He has integrated several research and university extension projects, among them the installation of a Service System for the Improvement of the Living Condition in the George Dimitrov neighborhood, Kaya Clinic. He was a technician for the Maputo Municipal Council, namely the Department of Urbanization and Construction, and a consultant for the 'Housing Demand Assessment project, characterization of urban development in the suburbs of the city on the outskirts of the city of Maputo, Matola and Marracuene', financed by the World Bank. He has participated in several international seminars and conferences, as well as published several scientific articles in specialized journals. He is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Physical Planning at Eduardo Mondlane University, in Maputo, director of the Center for Habitat Development Studies (CEDH) at the same institution and assistant researcher at the University College of London, Development Planning Unity.
