Ilídio Daio is an architect, currently a professor at Universidade Metodista Angola. He is an architect from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon (1999), he has postgraduate degrees in Basic Habitability from the Technical University of Madrid (2005); in Sustainable Urban Planning from the World Bank (2012) and has a degree in Management of Urban Centers from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon and FUNDEC (2015). He has worked as an architect since 1999 and since 2011 in urban conversion, as Head of the Department of Planning and Urban Management of the Technical Office for Urban Reconversion of Cazenga and Sambizanga (since the creation of the Office in November 2010). In 2020 and 2021 he collaborated and promoted several online debates about Covid-19 and the urban issue in Angola. Since 2019 he has been a contributing member of the Africa Habitat Project.
