Manuel Correia Guedes is an architect, with a master's degree in Environmental Design, from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Environmental design in Southern European Office Buildings, from the same institution. He participated in several (inter)national research projects and coordinated European Union and cooperation projects aimed at Africa and Asia. He is currently an Associate Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico. Specialized in Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design, he is responsible for the disciplines of Environmental Design and Sustainable Architecture at the master's and doctoral levels. He has participated in several international seminars and conferences, in addition to publishing several books and articles in specialized publishers and journals.
