Sónia Frias is an anthropologist, with a postgraduate degree in Social and Economic Development in Africa, from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), a master's degree in Intercultural Relations, from the Open University, and a PhD in Social Sciences, in the specialty of Cultural Anthropology, from the Instituto Superior of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP). She has coordinated and led several research teams, participated in several projects, seminars and international conferences, as well as published in several scientific journals. Currently, she is Assistant Professor at ISCSP and researcher at CEsA / ISEG – University of Lisbon.
